This item is made close to waterproof if installed at a 30 degree pitch. The reeds are formed into this panel shape using a brown UV resistant rubbery compound. On the top edge you will find about 6 plastic clips that can be attached to 1/4 inch metal rounds for easy installation. This product is manufactured in South Africa. There are also matching roofing top caps available as seen in some example pictures. African Reed is a great insulator compared to more modern roofing materials and is said to be 10+ degrees cooler underneath. It can last upwards of 8-10 years outdoors depending on the climate.
